The Word of Faith Group of Schools was born from a divine vision given to Archbishop M. E. Idahosa (OON), who saw the need for a learning environment where children could grow academically, spiritually, and creatively. This vision was brought to life through the unwavering support and commitment of Archbishop Most Rev. Prof. B. A. Idahosa, whose financial contributions and leadership helped turn the idea into a successful institution.
The school began in 1979 as a small pre-school with just three staff members and 23 children at the Church of God Mission International headquarters. Over the years, it gained official recognition — with the primary school accredited in 1982 and the secondary school in 1984. Since then, the Word of Faith Group of Schools has expanded significantly, now boasting over 108 schools across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
The school’s mission is to raise children in godly values and academic excellence, believing that Christian education is key to personal greatness and national development. It aims to instill a strong moral foundation and inspire students to become agents of change in society, echoing Martin Luther’s belief that a nation cannot thrive without the consistent study and application of God’s word.
"Building the nation with leading academic programs that lay a strong christian foundation to develop both spirit and mind"
We are commited to the christian mission of promoting the complete development of the whole child in Christ: Spiritually , Mentally Physically and Socially
